New Life's nZone to Hold Grand Opening

The nZone, an indoor fitness and sports complex, will hold its grand opening in Chantilly this Saturday.

 

The nZone, operated by in , will serve as a community and worship center, open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. 

The 84,000 square foot space will offer:

  • Three indoor turf fields
  • Two basketball courts
  • Multi-purpose room (named the Keg Room) for parties, workshops, meetings or classes
  • Athlete performace training area
  • Fitness center with child care and several membership options
  • Contemporary worship center on Sunday mornings

"Why would a church do something like this?  We get that question a lot," Brett Andrews, founder and lead minister of New Life Christian Church said in a press release.

"The answer is this: we exist to serve others. So, we invested in a building that would serve our community’s needs and be busy seven days a week," said Andrews.

"So, at the nZone, you’ll find everything you would expect at a recreation and sports facility – soccer, lacrosse, basketball and volleyball league play, fitness classes and boot camps, Karate, sports clinics, dance classes, athlete training – but you’ll also find tutoring sessions for students, support for struggling marriages and a safe place for youth to hang out after school.”

The is free to the public and will take place on Jan. 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Every adult that attends will receive a free one-month membership to the fitness center.

The celebration will include:

  • Demonstrations
  • Open play on turf fields and basketball courts
  • Free food
  • Games
  • Crafts
  • Moon bounces
  • Musical performances by local high school students
  • Free giveaways
  • Prize drawings for an iPad, Kindle Fire and tickets to Redskins, Nationals, Capitals, Wizards and DC United games
  • Appearances by professional football, basketball and soccer celebrities, including Darrell Green and Evan Royster
