Well grab your carving kit, because we asked Patch readers from across the country to share their pumpkin transformation skills and they are gooood.
Within minutes of our virtual call, our inbox was pumping with pumpkins. Pumpkins as Labrador retrievers, scary-as-heck paintings, crayon art, "cannibal" pumpkins, even a collection of Despicable Me minions.

P.S. Don't throw out the seeds! If you've never roasted pumpkin seeds before, do it. They are delicious and healthy. The best pepitas recipes call for the smaller seeds inside the hull, but any version of roasted pumpkin seeds are worth trying.
