Alleged drunk driver with child in tow hit Fairfax County police car Monday on Route 66 eastbound near Monument Drive.
A small child was seriously injured late Monday night in a crash officials are calling a suspected drunk driving accident. The child was a passenger in the car of the suspected drunk driver, who just after 10 p.m. hit the car of a Fairfax County police officer conducting a traffic stop, department spokesperson Don Gotthardt told Patch. Jeffrey Scott Davis Jr., of Fairfax, was charged with DUI after a passenger in his car, Roland Donald Reynolds Jr., of Manassas, died.
A Fairfax man faces charges after a passenger in his vehicle died as the result of a single-car crash Thursday, Prince William County Police said. Jeffrey Scott Davis Jr., 23, of Englishwood Lane in Fairfax, was charged with driving under the influence and held without bond. Police said that Davis was speeding westbound on Yorkshire Lane in the Yorkshire area, when his Chevy S-10 left the roadway, crossed into a ditch and rolled over. The front seat passenger, Roland Donald Reynolds, Jr., 25, of Manassas, was not wearing his seat belt. He was thrown from the vehicle, sustained serious injuries and died at a local hospital. Virginia State Police said speed and alcohol were factors in the fatal crash.
A single-car crash early Thursday morning on the southbound ramp from Interstate 395 to westbound Route 236 (Little River Turnpike) has left a Chantilly man dead, according to Virginia State Police. A. Tawab Ebadi, 25, of Chantilly, was in the backseat of the car and died at the scene around 2:41 a.m. Virginia State Police have identified Javed Hussaini, 25, of Manassas, as the driver involved in the crash. Police have determined that alcohol and speed were factors in the crash. VSP said Hussaini was traveling through the I-395 southbound ramp when his Audi A8 ran off the road, spun around and struck a tree.
