But Mike Lalli is not most coaches, nor does he falter under pressure. The last time Centreville and Chantilly met up on the playing field, the Chargers brought the Wildcats' season to an end with a 30-13 win in the Northern Region semifinals. Both teams are ready for a rematch. Students at both schools are planning to show up in droves to support their team. Centreville fans will show up all in white for a "whiteout." The rivalry is long and deep; check out the The Fairfax Times, which has an article up explaining the history of the Sully Bowl. I'm guessing that since the two schools had already been calling it that for some years by the time Westfield opened, they probably didn't want to break the tradition and call it something else even though there was a new school in the area. I didn't live in Centreville when the school opened, though. Maybe one of our readers who's been in the area for awhile can share some thoughts on this?   more ›
