'Breaking Dawn' Will Have 10 p.m. Debut in Addition to Midnight Show

Fans won't have to stay out quite so late this year, on a school night, to catch the debut of the last in the popular "Twilight" film series.

Fans waiting to see The Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn, Part 2 when it debuts Thursday will get a chance to see the premiere without staying up until 3 a.m. this year. Previous premiers of the films (the first — Twilight—debuted in November 2008) in Northern Virginia have seen lines of middle-school and high-school students at the midnight shows. Presumably there was lots of yawning the next day. The blockbuster films, based on the four books by Stephenie Meyer, star Kristen Stewart as Bella, an average girl who meets Edward, a vampire (played by Robert Pattinson) and Jacob (played by Taylor Lautner), a werewolf. Cinema Siren at Comic-Con: Through an Insider's Eyes

San Diego Comic-Con opens with huge crowds, swag and high hopes.

  SAN DIEGO—Whenever "What is Comic-Con?" floats out into the air, it shocks Cinema Siren into speechlessness. San Diego Comic-Con, (SDCC or just "Comic-Con" for those in the know), is the largest gathering for entertainment and pop culture in the world, and happens in San Diego every July at this time.  It garners so much press coverage and we at ArtInsights have so many friends and colleagues whose livelihoods depend on a successful SDCC, it's hard for me to imagine anyone still in the dark about its existence. The geeks of the world know all about it.
