Manassas Park Man Charged in the Death of Chantilly Man
Chantilly man died in July after April assault.
Prosecutors charged William Santiago, 29, of Manassas Park, Tuesday with "unlawful wounding" in the July death of 42-year-old Amadeo Guerra-Giron, according to a news release issued Thursday. Guerra-Giron died some three months after police answered a call and found him injured at 8:25 p.m. on April 29 in a wooded area on the 3000 block of Virginia Dare Court in Chantilly. Fairfax Police said it is not clear if Guerra-Giron was living in Chantilly at the time of the incident. EMS transported the injured victim to a local hospital. Meanwhile, a police investigation led to their identifying an acquaintance of the victim—Santiago—as the suspect.
