Mark Abbott, Neighbor

Mark has been involved with Chantilly Youth Association since 1994 and during that time has participated in all phases of "over achieving" volunteer work!  Mark is passionate about teaching and coaching youth sports and aside from his beloved CYA Teams, he has had coaching stints with the Girls Soccer Program at Chantilly High School and the Boy Soccer Program at Freedom High School in South Riding.

In November 2011, the CYA Board of Directors voted to make Mark the first ever CYA Executive Director.  CYA has approximately 13,000 children playing in 12 different sports and managing a program this size with an "all volunteer" staff simply became overwhelming. 

Now Mark spends every waking hour working on the expansion of all CYA Sports, CYA Fundraising and building the CYA Brand. 

CYA Just celebrated their 40th Anniversary in 2011 and we are poised to take on 40 more!
