I come to Patch after working as a managing editor for Gannett Digital at USA Today. 

My journalism stints include reporting for County News at NACo, C-SPAN and the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. I served as a managing editor at several national and regional magazines, including Log Home Design and Solutions at Home.

I co-edited "Campaign: A Cartoon History of Bill Clinton's Race for the White House," published by my alma mater, the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark.

I am married to Paul C. Barton and we have one daughter, Kate.
