World War II Living History at Sully Plantation
If you're a history buff you'll want to head to Sully Plantation Sunday in Chantilly.
Chantilly's Sully Historic Site is hosting Allied and Axis re-enactors this weekend and there's still time to get in on the event. On Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., they'll continue the second day of the two-day event with demonstrations, memories and music.
Visitors will get a chance to see an up-close look at what life was like for soldiers and civilians throughout the war and talk to re-enactors about their jobs, living quarters, food and life in the 1940s.
Admission is free for veterans and active duty military personnel. Tickets are $8 per adult, $6 per senior and child. A tour of Sully House is included. Guided tours of the main house given on the hour.
