How Much Are Red Roses in Chantilly for Valentine's Day?

There's something for every budget.

Scrambling to find a nice bouquet of romantic red roses Thursday for Valentine's Day?

Chantilly has several options and it's not too late:

Rhonda's Flowers: If you're serious — looking for a vase, an artful arrangement and delivery — go to the pros. (Flowers from florists generally hold up longer and are better quality, according to the Society of American Florists.) You can purchase a dozen red roses at Rhonda's for $94.95, which includes greenery and baby's breath. There is an extra charge of $15 for delivery. The shop is taking orders Wednesday and opens at 10 a.m. on Valentine's Day and will be taking orders throughout the day. For more information, call (703) 488-9911.

Aldi: Look for deals on red roses. We heard that you can purchase a dozen red roses here for $9.99. Patch wasn't able to confirm that with the store. (No phone number listed.) If you score a dozen for $9.99, tell us about it here in the Comments, we'd love to hear about the quality! (We understand that Aldi is under the same umbrella as Trader Joe's, so if you've purchased flowers from Trader Joe's we assume they may get them from the same wholesalers?)

Costco: No fancy vases or delivery, but you can't beat the price. A dozen red roses here are less than $16, according to a store employee Patch spoke to on Wednesday. This Costco store is generally open until 8:30 p.m. weekdays.

South Riding Giant Food: Giant has two varieties of red roses available for Valentine's Day: The first are a thriftier choice, a dozen for $25.99 and a higher quality rose with longer stems is going for $44.99. Vases are sold separately. When Patch spoke to the florist here Wednesday, she had about a dozen of the higher quality roses (a popular choice, she said) still available. Giant is open until midnight, FYI.
