Burglar Enters Woman's Home at 3:30 AM Saturday Off of Lees Corner Road in Chantilly

Suspect gets away after unsuccessful search by police using helicopter, K-9 unit.

A Chantilly resident, whose home is located in the 3600 block of Great Laurel Lane off of Lees Corner Boulevard, was in the kitchen of her home Saturday at 3:30 a.m. when a man broke into the home, escaping with a purse. No word on whether she encountered the burglar.

Officers from the Fairfax County Police Department responded, searching for the suspect using a helicopter and the FCPD K-9 unit. The suspect was not found.

NARCOTICS/TRESPASSING, 13800 block of Wall Road, Friday, 9:15 p.m. An officer stopped a vehicle after it allegedly pulled out of a restricted area. When the vehicle stopped, the passenger fled on foot and the driver stayed in the vehicle. The passenger was captured. Both were 16 years old and charged with trespassing and possession of marijuana.

12000 block of Fair Oaks Shopping Center, cell phone from business

12000 block of Ridge Knoll Drive, items from residence
