Police Charge Two Teens in Pellet Gun Incident at Rocky Run

Boy 14, and girl, 13, were injured in incident that took place last week at outdoor assembly.

Following a week-long investigation, Fairfax County police charged two 16-year-old males on Friday in connection with the  The incident put the school in lock-down status on the last day of school.

Both Fairfax County area teens were transported to the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center where they await hearings.

One teen was charged with two counts of malicious wounding and shooting into an occupied building.

The other teen was charged with one count of malicious wounding and shooting into an occupied building.

Malicious wounding is a Class III felony, punishable by five to 20 years imprisonment and fines of up to $100,000.  Shooting into an occupied building is a Class VI felony, punishable by imprisonment and or fines of up to $2,500.
