Chantilly, Marshall Academy CyberPatriot Teams to Be Feted by TerraWi at Reception

Chantilly Academy team qualified for national finals in cyber defense competition.

Student teams from Chantilly Academy and Marshall Academy who will compete in the national finals of the CyberPatriot V competition will be congratulated at a special reception, hosted by Marshall team sponsor TerraWi, at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, at the company’s offices in McLean, according to a news release from Fairfax County Public Schools.

Chantilly Academy and Marshall Academy are two of the six high school academies in Fairfax County Public Schools.

Two Marshall Academy teams and one Chantilly Academy team qualified for the national finals in the competition, recognized as the premier high school cyber defense competition. CyberPatriot is designed to inspire high school students to pursue careers in cyber security or other STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) disciplines.

A total of 12 teams will compete in the open division of the CyberPatriot V finals, scheduled to take place March 14-16 at the Gaylord National Harbor Resort and Convention Center in Maryland.
